Capri Fish House Restaurant Offers a “Reel” Taste of Florida Right on the Waterfront

The family-owned Capri Fish House Restaurant sets the scene for enjoying freshly caught fish and seafood with its waterfront location and nautically themed décor. Located on the Isle of Capri within easy reach of Marco Island and Naples, the restaurant overlooks the beautiful sandy beach and calm waters of Johnson Bay.

Arrive early to get a coveted Adirondack chair where you can wiggle your toes in the soft white sand as you sip a margarita from the thatched tiki bar and peruse the delicious menu.

Lunch, Dinner or Sunday Brunch at the Capri Fish House

The lunch menu starts with conch fritters, “lobstah” fingers and gator nuggets along with other goodies for a “reel” taste of Florida. Starters are followed by delicious seafood casseroles, seafood platters or the catch of the day cooked in a choice of five different ways to suit every taste.

Lighter fish dishes offer a variety of entrees such as coconut shrimp, clam strips or frogs legs all served in a basket with French fries. Grouper sandwiches, reubens with a fishy twist and salmon club wraps show the versatility of the chef and his team at the Capri Fish House. Steak, seafood, salads and a range of burgers will satisfy those with a craving for meat.

Dinner sees the chef change gear to offer more great seafood including the classic oyster Rockefeller, fried calamari, tasty bouillabaisse crammed with snapper, lobster and mussels or how about Cajun Jambalaya for a taste of southern cuisine? Stuffed shrimp baked with a crabmeat stuffing, baked grouper, seafood kabobs and Chilian seabass wrapped in bacon and served with an orange beurre blanc sauce are just some of the gourmet dishes that keep regulars returning for more at the Capri Fish House.

If you are in the area on Sundays, the Sunday Brunch is a treat you won’t want to miss. The restaurant serves all the usual breakfast items you crave followed by seafood chowder, jambalaya, country ham, steaks, salads and homemade desserts to start the week on a gastronomic high.

Sunsets and Watersports on the Isle of Capri

There’s more than just food at the Capri Fish House. The thatched beachside chickee hut houses an al fresco bar with shady seating right on the bay where all the fish and seafood is sourced.

Indoor seating is offered in the unpretentious restaurant which has a homely atmosphere, a marine aquarium, and a friendly staff. It goes without saying that every table has stunning views especially at sunset and you can understand why the setting is popular for weddings and family celebrations.

Kayak rentals are available right off the sandy beach for those wanting to explore this beautiful location at a leisurely pace. More adventurous visitors can go jet skiing and parasailing in the calm waters while keen fishing enthusiasts can catch their own supper on a fishing and dolphin excursion.
