Fort Myers Beach is All About Holiday Water Sports

Families have been enjoying the sun, sand, and sea at Fort Myers Beach for decades along with the exciting activities the bay has to offer. Holiday Water Sports have been an important part of that beach experience since 1989, and their range of water sports equipment has never been wider than it is today!

You are never far from one of the three Holiday Water Sports locations which provide endless fun in the sun with their beach equipment rentals. Look out for them near the Pink Shell Beach Resort and Spa at the north end of Estero Beach or further south near Diamond Head Beach Resort. In between these two locations is their third spot, conveniently located just in front of the Best Western Beach Resort.

Variety of Water Sports on Fort Myers Beach

Wave runners, boat rentals, sailing dinghies, kayaks, aqua paddle bikes, paddleboards and more can all be found along the miles of gorgeous golden sand on Fort Myers Beach.

Inexperience is no excuse not to try something new. The friendly staff at Holiday Water Sports is happy to give instruction and tips to everyone booking water sports activities for the first time. Try your hand at the latest craze of stand-up paddle boarding and enjoy a trip across the bay while getting a suntan and a physical workout.

Another popular non-motorised sport is sea kayaking. Rent a single or double kayak or join a 90-minute kayaking tour around the bay, islands and coastal mangroves. Expect to see manatees, dolphins, bald eagles and other wildlife as you paddle. The sunset cruise is a particularly beautiful time to enjoy this relaxing interaction with mother nature.

For a more family-oriented thrill, rent a pontoon boat – the perfect way to enjoy a swim and picnic on your own secluded sandy beach. You may even see hermit crabs, manatees, turtles and dolphins that love to jump in the wake of local boats, so have your camera ready.

Waverunner Dolphin Adventure Tours

Those looking for more adrenaline-pumping activity can book a place on the Dolphin Adventures Tours. This is a great way to enjoy your own waverunner ride and see the amazing wildlife, islands, sea birds and playful dolphins that frequent these warm Gulf waters.

Each Dolphin Adventure Tour is led by a knowledgeable local guide who provides basic instruction, a great itinerary, humorous commentary and makes every tour a memorable and exciting experience. At the end of each trip there is time for a free waverunner ride so you can try your hand at wave jumping or bay racing before the 90-minute tour comes to an end.

If you are looking for a truly memorable ride, take to the skies with a thrilling parasailing ride and see Fort Myers Beach and Captiva from a whole new perspective. Capture the moment forever with a photograph taken by the boat crew as you fly high above the waves!

After all that excitement, you may just want to relax and chill out on a lounge chair beneath one of the shady beach umbrellas which are available at a reasonable cost. Fishing pole rentals are also available along with bait, tackle and all you need for a relaxing time.
