Visitors to Sanibel most likely have already walked or cycled right past Jerry’s Foods and seen the tropical birds in the lush greenery out front. This green oasis with its cool waterfall is the perfect place to park your car in the shade and head inside for a delightful food shopping experience. If you already know what you want, you can use Jerry’s online ordering and pick-up service, or arrange delivery wherever you are staying on Sanibel or Captiva Island. From frozen foods to freshly made salads, Jerry’s Foods offers both quality AND convenience.

Whether you are enjoying a family vacation in a vacation condo or are a Sanibel resident or snowbird, Jerry’s Foods will certainly enhance your stay. Jerry’s Food was originally founded in Edina, Minnesota back in 1947. It quickly became known for its high quality foods and personalized service. You’ll now find a second Jerry’s Foods in Eden Prairie, MN as well as the landmark store on Sanibel Island.

Jerry’s Kitchen Café on Sanibel

Jerry’s Foods is more than just a local grocery store – it has an amazing café too. Open at the crack of dawn (6am) for breakfast, it serves classic hot breakfasts, eggs benedict (classic or Sanibel style with crab cakes), vegetarian breakfasts, burritos and more.

Lunch at Jerry’s Kitchen Café may mean tasty burger sliders with Angus beef, a visit to the soup and salad bar, delectable shrimp, clam or grouper baskets or a choice of signature sandwiches featuring Jerry’s homemade salads and Boar’s Head meats. Checkout the Sanibel Boat which consists of seafood, chicken or tuna salad piled high on a fresh pineapple and served with a side of cottage cheese. Healthy eating has never looked so good!

Dinner is served at Jerry’s Café from 4pm to 8:30pm with additional entrees such as the Seafood Platter – broiled or crunchy, fresh fish, crab, ribs, rotisserie chicken, top quality steaks and a range of side dishes to make any meal a feast. Leave room for a slice of Jerry’s Key Lime Pie – voted the best on the island – or take a dessert to go.

If you want to stop in for a Seattle’s Best coffee, iced tea or soft drink, Jerry’s Kitchen Café offers bottomless cups along with the same great atmosphere and service all day long.

Where to Find Jerry’s Foods

Located on Periwinkle Way, this hidden gem is in Jerry’s Shopping Center opposite the junction with Casa Ybel Road. Conveniently close to the Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum and the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, it’s a great place to pick up snacks, sandwiches and cold drinks for lunch as you head off to enjoy some of Sanibel’s beautiful beaches and attractions.

The store has a tempting array of cold cuts, salads and cheese in the deli, which features only the highest quality food such as Boars Head. You can buy fresh seafood to go and make it a delicious meal with a box of fresh salad from the self-service salad bar.

There’s also an in-store bakery offering freshly baked breads and as assortment of sweet treats such as their delectable apple fritters.

To complement the refrigerated cold drinks, Jerry’s Foods also has a wine and beer section making it a great one-stop shop for all the necessities of life.

Jerry’s is open from 6am to 10pm daily so you will never be caught without a place to shop great food, drinks and snacks from breakfast through dinner.
