Wooten’s Everglades Airboat Tours & Alligator Park

Looking for a wild Florida adventure that’s fun, educational, and a little bit thrilling? Head to Wooten’s Animal Sanctuary & Alligator Park in Ochopee—just a short drive from Naples and Marco Island—and spend the day getting up close with wildlife and zipping through the heart of the Everglades on an airboat.

Whether you’re traveling with kids, nature lovers, or thrill-seekers, Wooten’s is a one-stop destination for all things Everglades.

Airboat Tours Through the Heart of the Everglades

No trip to Wooten’s is complete without an airboat ride—I promise it’s just as fun as it sounds! Hop aboard a grasslands or extended airboat tour and cruise over the “river of grass,” with nothing but sawgrass, cypress trees, and wide-open sky in every direction. Keep an eye out for gators sunbathing on the banks and birds flying overhead—you’re right in their backyard.

The best part? Wooten’s airboat captains know these waters inside and out, plus you’ll have the nature all to yourselves as you cruise through 259 acres of private grasslands. They’ll share fascinating facts about the Everglades’ fragile ecosystem and wildlife while making sure you get the full-speed, wind-in-your-hair experience.

Looking for a quieter adventure? Wooten’s also offers a swamp buggy tour, where you’ll climb aboard a high-riding, open air vehicle to explore a private cypress forest and beautiful marshes teeming with native plants and animals.

Create your own combination of tours or select a single experience. Grasslands airboat and swamp buggy tours last 30 minutes each, while extended tours are 50 minutes in duration. Combining all three tours will get you a whopping 110 minutes of Everglades exploration.

Meet Rescued Animals at the Sanctuary & Alligator Park

All tours include a visit to the Animal Sanctuary and Alligator Park, which is home to over 100 rescued alligators. You’ll meet tigers, turtles, snakes, otters, crocodiles, and more—all cared for by Wooten’s dedicated staff. These animals were rescued from the illegal pet trade, neglect, or habitat loss and would not survive if released into the wild. They now live in a safe, enriching environment.

Of course, the stars of the show are the alligators—and there are plenty of them! You can watch live alligator shows, learn how they behave in the wild, and even hold a baby gator.
