The City of Sarasota and Sarasota Patriotic Observance Committee host the annual Memorial Day parade. The parade features marching bands, local veterans’ groups, ROTC units, scouts, First Responders, and community organizations. Parade begins at 10 a.m. at Main Street and Osprey Avenue and continues westward on Main Street and ends near Bayfront Park and US-41/Tamiami Trail. Following the parade a ceremony with keynote speaker will be held at Chaplain J.D. Hamel Park. Sarasota Memorial Day Parade is a free, family-friendly event.
