Fort Myers Pet-Friendly Beach

Give your pet an off-the-leash run at the only county-owned beach where pets are allowed.

Dog Beach is a coastal tideland; therefore, the size of the beach varies on the water level and tide. Disposal stations are available and owners are required to clean up after their pets. There is a maximum of two dogs per person allowed. No restrooms but there is a portable toilet. Parking is available at no charge.

Doggie shower stations are available.

Dog Beach is located north of Bonita Beach Road where it curves north and becomes Hickory Boulevard. A Saltwater Fishing License is required to saltwater fish from shore. There is no fee for Florida residents. Read our Florida Sunshine Survival Tips blog article.
