Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota

Houses One of The Finest Collections of Art in Florida

The Ringling Museum of Art was built by John-Ringling to house his personal collection of masterpieces, the museum features paintings and sculptures by European, American, and Asian Old Masters, including Rubens, van Dyck, Gainsborough, and more.

Admission to The Ringling Museum of Art and grounds are always FREE on Mondays!

The Ringling’s grounds and gardens are also treated and cherished as works of art.

The Ringling Ca d’Zan mansion was home to John and Mable Ringling. Designed in the Venetian Gothic style, the 36,000-square-foot mansion reflects the splendor and romance of Italy. The five-story structure features 56 rooms and 15 bathrooms. Six self-guided tours are offered each day and require a separate admission fee.

Audio Guides are available for the Ringling Museum of Art and Ca’ d’Zan so be sure to bring your smartphone and headphones or earbuds.

The Ringling Bayfront Gardens offer 66-acres with many different plants, trees, sculptures, and trails to explore at your own pace. Relax in the shade of a banyan tree, discover courting couples statuary, smell the roses in Mable’s Rose Garden.

Access to Bayfront Gardens is included with Museum admission and with the Experience Ca’ d’Zan Tour.

Bayfront Gardens docent-led guided walking tours are available seasonally – November through May and are subject to weather conditions. It is 90 minutes in length and covers approximately 1 mile.  Learn more here.

Bolger Playspace is a playground with slides, a three-story playhouse, climbing ladders, swings and a water park where children can control the flow of water! This children’s playspace is located near the Banyan Restaurant and the Circus Museum. Take a kid-friendly themed itinerary of family fun ways to explore The Ringling Museum complex.

Admission to The Ringling grounds including Bolger Playspace and the Bayfront Gardens are free on Mondays, any other time grounds admission is $5.00. All visitors must enter through the Visitor’s Pavilion.

Tours of The Ringling Circus Museum and The Ringling Ca d’Zan house requires separate admission and is not included in general admission.

The Ringling is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

The Ringling Museum is a proud participant of the Blue Star Museums program, which offers free admission to active-duty military personnel, including National Guard and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day. 

Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America.

The 2024 Blue Star Museums program begins on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 20, 202and ends on Labor Day, Monday, September 4, 2024.
